Doctor Reynders

We made it!!! David graduated on the 16th of May 2015 as a Doctor of Physical Therapy. The past three years in Bolivar, MO have been amazing! We are so grateful for the opportunity David had to attend Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. We also enjoyed our time in St. Joseph, Missouri and Mountain Home, Arkansas on rotations. We made many friends through his schooling, church and in the community. We had a rich experience  in the Midwest. However, we are grateful to close this chapter of life and move onto the next.

Fun at the Lake

The weather here in Mountain Home, Arkansas has been beautiful! The past two weekends we took advantage of the beautiful weather and enjoyed seeing some of the sites before we move. We visited Bull Shoals State Park, Bull Shoals Dam, Gaston's Visitors Center, Gaston's Resort, and two shores of Bull Shoals Lake. The water was a little chill but since it was almost 80 degrees with humidity making it feel a little warmer, you didn't mind. It didn't slow the kids down one bit. They had so much fun splashing around in the cool water with the sand and rocks under their feet.

The water was high, they are standing on a sidewalk!

The kids had only been in the water a few minutes when I had to rush in and save Evelyn. She stepped off the underwater sidewalk and couldn't get herself out of the water. Panicked me for a moment, I sprinted to her as quick as I could. She was fine and not traumatized at all, but we were both thoroughly wet.

Peter asked David to take a picture of him kicking the water. Funny kid!

Peter said this at the end of our last lake experience, "I love going to the lake! It's a good place to go in the summer time and splash around and relax." So true Mr. Peter! He is such a fun kid and a great big brother.

It is breathtakingly beautiful here in the Ozark Mountains. They call them mountains, though their not really mountains, more like glorified hills compared to the Sierra Nevada Mountain Ranges in California where I grew up. Nevertheless, real mountains or not, they are beautiful! It is so green and lush out here. Wildflowers everywhere. We have sure been charmed by the beauty of this land.

Picnics and Parks

Here is some photo documentation of the fun we have had outdoors in the beautiful Spring weather of Mountain Home, Arkansas.

We love having little picnics at the park next door.

We love nature walks and enjoying the dandelions.

I experimented with making my own black bean burgers. This recipe was just right for us! They made for an extra delicious picnic! Here is a link to the best Double Bean Burgers with Avocado Cream Sauce. (I did a different avocado sauce. I just mixed sour cream and guacamole.)

Watermelon!
Recycled kites, perfect for a windy Earth Day!
These two are best friends!
