Hannah's Promotion

If you didn't catch that... We are having another baby! We are beyond excited! We feel so blessed for the opportunity to bring another of our Heavenly Father's precious spirits into our family.

I am currently 8 weeks and 5 days along which means I am just over 2 months pregnant. Only 7 more  months to go ;). The due date is October 24th 2015.

The kids are so excited. Peter wants a boy and Evelyn wants a girl. They both know that we don't get to choose but still have their opinion :). They have also given lots of name suggestions... bunny and cheese were a few of the unconventional names, then they stared thinking of names of friends and cousins like Maizie, Byron, Emily, Andrew, Max, Jason, and Reagan. I could live with those but feel they are already taken :). I don't even like to think of names till I know the gender, otherwise I get too overwhelmed. For now, this baby shall be known as baby #4.

Here's another picture of Hannah I captured during our Promotion photo shoot...

Moving Again

We had a blast in St. Joseph, MO. We loved our home, the library, the park, the school up the road, and the incredible ward (church) family we had there. We were really able to feel at home even though we were only there for 3 months. We also loved that we were only an hour drive from the temple! That is closest we have been to the temple in just over 2 years! This made it easier for us to go and to go more often.

We left our home in St. Joseph in a whirlwind of activity. David's last day of work there was Wednesday and we were out of there Thursday night! We definitely had some divine assistance. We were hoping to be done and out of our home around 5 or 6pm on Thursday and head to David's brother's home in Kansas City to relax and sleep and then finish the drive to Arkansas Friday morning... well it came to be 5pm, 6pm, then 7pm and we still had a ways to go. We decided to send David and the kids to Kansas City and I would finish the cleaning and other final projects.

Once David left, I felt tiered and overwhelmed with what was left to be done. Several times throughout that day, I was reminded of  the help offered from a sweet friend I was privileged to meet, Megan Eddington. As I sat there after David left I was again reminded and decided to give her a call. Megan answered and came to my rescue. She was the divine assistance. We finished everything in 2 hours and I was able to leave our home in St. Joseph by 12pm. I will forever be grateful for Megan Eddington and her willingness to serve. Meagan is a great example of Christ-like character.

I joined David at 1am in Kansas City. We slept and said our goodbyes Then headed on our way. The kids were true sports! They did great with all the change. I think Hannah had  the hardest time, then Peter, Evelyn didn't seem to mind at all! We made it to Mountain Home, Arkansas by 4pm Friday. We all felt exhausted but we made it!

Mountain Home is a small town in the middle of nowhere! There are no big towns close by. Springfield, Missouri may be the closest big town/city, and that is a 2 hour drive! And we are in the St. Louis, Missouri Temple district! That is a 4 hour, 10 min. drive!

But the ward (church congregation) here is great. We felt welcome and lots of assistance was offered if we needed any. AND, spring is upon us! We thought it would never come! Moving 5 hours south sure helped speed the process :). We are grateful for this new adventure and look forward to more growth and learning in our 9 weeks here in Mountain Home.

Oh, there is a playground next door to us! Yipee!
