Spring Break Update

Kids are doing great!

Peter is potty trained! Though I still expect an accident or two here and there. He has gone a few days with no accidents so we switched him over to just underwear :) It was a learning experience for both of us...I'm just glad we learned and I don't have to purchase diapers for him anymore.

Evelyn is learning so much! She knows a lot of words. One of my favorites that she picked up within the last week is "Amen." When we say, "It's time for prayer." She folds her little arms and waits a few seconds then says, "Amen." She will then repeat amen a few times and again when the prayer is actually finished she repeats amen after everyone else has said it. I love to see the little wheels turning in her cute little noggin.

Last week was David's Spring break. We had the opportunity to have his parents and his sister Kate come to visit. We also were able to catch David's brother, Robert, on his break. So we went up to Kansas City for a few days to spend time with him and his great family.

While in Kansas City we were able to attend the temple. it is always nice to attend with family.

We also went to some fun places. One of those fun places is called Kaleidoscope  It is located in the Crown Center in Kansas City. It's free! and they have tons of neat things for kids to do. We had fun :)

Another adventure we had in Kansas City was to buy our first car! We bought a mini-mini-van. It's a Mazda 5. It is more compact and has one less seat than a typical mini-van. It is perfect for our little growing family :)

We always enjoy family time. It was wonderful to be with so much family last week. We sure miss getting to hop over to the Reynders' whenever we want. They are a little too far for us just to hop over to now.

Well, for those who don't know... We fond out we are having a GIRL! Our little baby girl's e.t.a. is August 2nd. I am currently 22 weeks and 2 days!

Because of Our Savior, We Do Not Have to Walk Alone! {Preparing for Easter}

I love Elder Holland's spirit filled testiomy of our Savior's mission here upon this earth. I too know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and redeemer. He knows me and has felt every pain I have felt and will ever feel. He knows how to succor me. Because of Him, I never stand alone.

And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
