Happy Mother's Day!

Our family has been richly blessed by two amazing women. These women have both been great examples to David and I, and to our children. They both have a strong testimony of their Savior, Jesus Christ and His gospel. They have helped us learn and understand who we are. They taught us of our Father in Heaven and His great plan of happiness. Because of these amazing women and their faith, examples, and teachings, we have come to know that we are spirit children of a loving Heavenly Father and that He has a plan for our individual lives, that He is in control, and we can and must trust Him.

These women have dedicated their lives to motherhood. To serve, teach, lead, and guide God's spirit children. They are truly extraordinary.

These two women are Cynthia Deline Murphy and Jo Linda Thorley Reynders. We love them and are truly grateful for all they have done for us and all they continue to do for us. Thanks for making a profound impact on our lives and the lives of our children.

Camp-out!

Peter has been wanting and asking to go camping with dad for a long time. David kept telling Peter that when it got warm enough they could camp outside in the tent. Well, it has been beautifully warm! On Monday night, after family home evening, we all set up a tent in our back yard.

Peter invited Evelyn. She didn't end up sleeping in there, but she hung out in the tent for a good couple of hours. I thought she was actually going to sleep out there until David brought her in per Evelyn's request. Peter and Dad slept well. They woke up to birds singing in the early morning :)

Building a Castle

The kids and I built a castle the other day. They were so excited about it! Here is a picture of proud, little Miss Evelyn and our castle. (complete with a draw bridge :))

CMH Heroes for Hospice 5K/10K

Last weekend, David ran a 10K while pushing the older two kids in our double jogging stroller. It was a beautiful day and they all had so much fun! They invited all the runners to dress as super heroes. David wouldn't, but the kids loved the idea! Several of David's classmates also participated in the run. One of the classmates there, Ben, is a good friend to David. Ben's new wife Leah was there and Hannah and I had the privilege of hanging out with her wile the men ran. Here are some pictures of the fun :)

Some of David's classmates. I played b-ball with 2 of these gals :)

David got 1st place in his age bracket for the 10K and he was pushing a double stroller!
Look at that handsome man ;)
